Ten years ago, the original Extreme Flight Slick 580 changed the game — redefining what pilots could expect from a giant-scale ARF.

Today, we’re proud to unveil the next evolution of that legacy: the all-new Slick 580 V3.

More than just an update, the V3 is a celebration of a decade of innovation, refinement, and collaboration.

This aircraft is the result of a true Team Extreme effort. Chris Hinson and Ben Fisher led the engineering evolution — refining the structure, aerodynamics, and assembly process to bring the Slick fully into the modern Extreme Flight era, while carefully preserving the unmistakable flight character that made the original legendary.

A special nod goes to Arron Bates, whose groundbreaking original scheme defined the Slick’s identity and set a new benchmark for visual presence. With printed covering no longer in use, Ben Fisher reimagined that iconic look using traditional covering techniques — honoring the original while delivering a fresh, modern interpretation worthy of the V3.

The result is a perfect fusion of heritage and innovation:lightweight composite-reinforced construction, refined aerodynamics, and Extreme Flight’s latest assembly technologies — all wrapped in a scheme that pays tribute to where it began while looking firmly toward the future.

From XA and hardcore 3D to precision aerobatics, the Slick 580 V3 delivers the locked-in feel, blistering roll rate, and confidence-inspiring performance pilots expect — now elevated by 10 years of lessons learned.
